Traditional Art

Figure Drawing

January 2015 - May 2015

Each of these five pictures were made on 18" x 24" bond paper. I used a mix of ink, white pastel, charcoal, micron pens, and graphite. The first three images were drawn upon observation, although the skeleton juxtaposition was added based on reference images. The final two are muscle studies based upon references.

Other Drawings and Paintings

August 2011 - July 2014

These images emphasize the use of color and line. I particularly enjoyed finding and emphasizing vibrant varients of color. The flowers are watercolor, the black and white drapery is graphite, the Chuck Close inspired self portrait is a mixed media of cardboard, mod podge adheasive, and acrylic paint. The rest are acrylic paintings.
